The Aer Fit Pack 3 is a gym-to-office backpack built for people who work out before or after work and don't want to carry two bags. It has a ventilated shoe compartment on the bottom, a padded laptop sleeve, and enough room for gym clothes, work essentials, and a water bottle, all in a single bag that looks right in a locker room and an office.

Numbers above are the spec sheet on aersf.com. They are not a TBE tape or scale reading. Packed shoes in the garage add depth past the empty 8 inch shell, and that packed depth is what fails a sizer.
Aer also makes the Travel Pack 3 and the Go Pack 2, which we have already reviewed. The Fit Pack 3 is the gym-commuter version of that same Cordura-and-YKK build.
What Makes It Different from a Regular Gym Bag
The ventilated shoe compartment sits on the bottom, separated from the main compartment with a mesh-vented divider, so sweaty shoes don't sit against a laptop and clean clothes. The ventilation holes let the shoes air out during your commute instead of stewing in a sealed pocket.
The dedicated laptop sleeve (fits up to 16-inch MacBook) sits against the back panel in its own compartment with independent access. You can pull your laptop out at TSA or in a meeting without opening the main compartment where your gym clothes live. You can treat it as a gym bag and a work bag because those two zones stay apart. The water bottle pocket is external and sized for large bottles (32oz+). Most gym backpacks either skip the water bottle pocket or make it too small.
1680D Cordura and YKK zippers
The Fit Pack 3 uses 1680D Cordura ballistic nylon, the same fabric as the Travel Pack, with YKK zippers throughout. The all-black colorway (and a few muted alternatives) looks like an office bag, not a gym sack.
The Fit Pack 3 costs more than generic gym backpacks ($30-$60) but less than the Travel Pack 3 ($250). The material and hardware difference is the 1680D Cordura shell with YKK zippers.
Who Should Buy It
The Fit Pack 3 is for people who commute to work and hit the gym on the same trip: bike commuters, transit riders, and walkers who carry one bag all day. If you drive to work and the gym separately, a regular gym duffel is simpler. If you combine the trips, one bag replaces two.

Aer sells the Fit Pack 3 through aersf.com. There is no Amazon listing for it, and the packs that surface in an Amazon search under that name are other brands borrowing the words to rank. The one Aer pack you can order on Amazon today is the Travel Pack 3, which the FAQ below already points to once a trip outgrows an 18.7 liter bag.

Same 1680D Cordura shell and YKK hardware as the Fit Pack, scaled up into a clamshell carry-on with its own 16 inch laptop compartment. At 35 liters this is a travel bag rather than a daily commuter: right for the week away, far too much bag for the walk to the gym.

Can you travel with the Fit Pack 3?
The empty 8 inch depth sits on the usual US personal-item line. Packed shoes in the garage are what fail a sizer, so do not count on underseat fit once the shoe compartment is loaded. As a secondary bag next to a carry-on roller it still works. As a one-bag travel pack it is too small. The Travel Pack 3 (35L) is the Aer bag for that trip.
Is the Aer Fit Pack 3 waterproof?
The material specification is Cordura nylon with a DWR coating. That does not make the bag waterproof, so use a rain cover in heavy rain.
